I have noted all of your concerns in respect to this very important issue and advise that the Hon Robyn McSweeney has presented your petition to Parliament on Tuesday 28 August 2007. She has also advised me that there is to be a Public Hearing on 26 September 2007 involving Grainge Resources, the Economic Regulator and Western Power.

The Hon Robyn McSweeney will keep me appraised of the outcome of the meeting and if I can be of any further assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

Dear Sir

We refer to correspondence we sent to you on the 5th August 2007 and Shadow Ministers regarding the transmission lines from Kojonup to Albany and are at a loss as to who is handling our concerns.

Hon John Day advised he has forwarded our letter to you and you advise you have forwarded our letter to him. Could you please advise who is dealing with this matter? We would also appreciate if you could provide us with a contact within your office to liaise with?

Hon Robyn Mc Sweeney has arranged a Senate public hearing on 26th September on this matter and we hope you can support us on this issue.

We are not anti power being supplied to Albany but believe if transmission from Collie is the only answer, could routes of less impact be used i.e. existing corridors, highways, railways or public land?

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Yours sincerely

On behalf of the PLUG
